SCUBA           BLUE

2017 Scuba Diving Trip to Hawaii

Hawaii 2017 Trip Information

After successful trip to Bahamas last year Scuba Blue is ready for another adventure. We are heading to Hawaii for 10 days of exciting diving and social experience. If you are certified scuba diver and would like to join us this is the time. Do not wait long because the space is limited!! Our goal is to build maximum 10-15 divers group to be able to charter the boat and create our own diving itinerary as well as keep the costs down for everyone.

When? Trip will take place the last week of September and the first week of October. It will allow those who do not have vacation to move their work assignments around and be able to attend the trip.

Where? The first stop will be Oahu, 5 days including 3 days of scuba diving. Second stop Maui for another 5 days with 3 days of diving

Accommodation? We will be renting private property for the entire group on both islands, possible ocean front house with yard so we can socialize after dive and relax sunbathing and grilling. Property type will depend on number of divers participating in the trip.

Who can go? We accept only certified scuba divers, crew members can be accompanied by family member or friend who also needs to hold at least Open Water Scuba certification. Remember space is limited so book quickly

How Much? We are committed to keep costs down for everyone and we are still in the process of setting the price tag, however we think it will not exceed 1500 USD per person. The more people participate the lower the price. We will require commitment in the form of 30% deposit by the end of July and balance two weeks before the trip. Cost will include accommodation on both islands and diving trips. Flights are not included. Each participant will also receive T-shirt commemorating the trip. We will be filming every aspect of the trip and short movie from that adventure is going to be produced by Scuba Blue Films and published on YouTube.

Is Scuba Gear included in the price? We are working with local dive shops to include the rental gear in the price. Further details on that matter will be provided in the later date. That said however we always encourage you to bring your own gear, or at least basic gear (mask, snorkel, wet suit, regulator) since everyone is familiar with their own scuba items. We will communicate with each participant about the gear they want to bring as we get closer to the trip.

Dive Insurance !!! It is not required but strongly encouraged to get your diving insurance for the trip. Scuba Diving is really safe, but when emergency happens we want to make sure everyone is covered. Please do remember that regular insurance does not cover diving accidents and injuries. If you do not have diving insurance you will be forced to cover medical expenses from your own pocket. For options on diving insurance please visit Divers Alert Network web page for more information.
